During PE lessons all long hair should be tied up, nails kept short, and jewellery removed, where possible. Where jewellery cannot be removed such as for medical and/or religious reasons, these need to be made safe.

Earrings should not be worn during PE lessons and parents and pupils must take responsibility for their removal where possible. However, if earrings cannot be removed, then action must be taken to make participation safe (refer to the PE Policy).

Forest School

On Forest School days children will need to come into school wearing appropriate clothing and footwear, including hats and gloves during winter and sun hats and sun cream in hot weather.

At Parkside, our children have a wonderful time exploring our Forest School provision, but as outdoor adventures can get muddy, we kindly ask that parents send their children in clothes they don’t mind getting a bit dirty/muddy.

Second-Hand Uniform

Second-hand uniform is offered to parents on a termly basis for a donation of choice.

Mobile Phones

Pupils are not permitted to use personal mobile or smart devices whilst on the school site. Where these are required, for example for safety reasons when pupils are transporting to and from school, devices should be turned off and handed into the school office in the morning where they will be locked away until the end of day when they can be collected.
