We are fortunate at Parkside to have a dedicated PTFA that has been a valued part of our school community for many years. During this time, the PTFA has raised thousands of pounds which have been used to enhance the children’s learning experiences: providing additional resources and supporting improvements to our school environment.
Our PTFA is about far more than fundraising. Its purpose is to strengthen the partnership between home and school, bringing staff, parents and friends together socially in support of Parkside and working towards shared goals.
All parents and carers, along with members of the wider school community, are warmly encouraged to get involved, no matter how much or how little time you can spare.
Like most PTFAs, the majority of our funds come from the events we organise and there is always something to look forward to! We listen carefully to the children’s ideas and love seeing them enjoy new activities or make use of equipment funded through PTFA contributions.
We also raise money in other ways, and parent donations play a vital role. Families can support us by offering time, making donations, contributing raffle prizes for our Christmas and Summer Fairs, or turning up and joining in one of the Events held by the PTFA.
The PTFA thrives on volunteers. The more people who get involved, the more the pupils benefit.
If you would like to join the committee, learn more about what we do, or be added to our list of helpers, please contact the school office.
