Breakfast Club

Here at Parkside Community Primary School we run a free Breakfast Club accessible for all pupils in the school dining hall. The club is run by experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistants on Monday to Fridays during term time. Breakfast club is open from 8.10am until 8.40am. Children are expected to arrive no later than 8.30am.

As a school we promote healthy eating and therefore offer a range of nutritious breakfast foods such as:

  • A choice of cereals
  • Toast
  • Juice, milk or water
  • A range of fresh fruit

Here at Parkside Community Primary School we believe that a good, nourishing breakfast is a fundamental right. Unlike many other schools we offer our Breakfast Club free of charge for all our children.

There is no need to book a space but parents and carers are expected to escort their children to the main entrance at the School Office so that safeguarding procedures are met and children can be registered.

During Term 2 lots of fun was had crafting Christmas themed projects which was a great way to get into the festive spirit. The club proved so popular with pupils that we have decided to run it again for Term 3.

Arts and Crafts Club is a fantastic way for children to get creative through a range of mediums such as paint, crayons, chalks and sometimes, lots of glitter!

Badminton Club, Dodgeball Club and Tennis Club

We are very lucky to have Football Futures offering pupils the chance to make friends, get active and play a range of sports, both at lunchtime and after school.

During Terms 3 and 4 they will be hosting Badminton, Dodgeball and Tennis Clubs. These clubs are available for all ages and abilities. Their focus being to have fun, but also to improve physical skills such as hand-eye co-ordination, and social skills such as teamwork and communication.

Lego Club

Lego Club has always proven to be a favourite here at Parkside Community Primary School and will continue to run through Term 3!

Pupils are able to use their imagination and get inventive with a range of Lego toys. The children are also encouraged to work together, using teamwork and social skills to construct a variety of projects such as cars, houses and castles.
