Here at Parkside Community Primary School we run a free Breakfast Club accessible for all pupils in the school dining hall. The club is run by experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistants on Monday to Fridays during term time. Breakfast club is open from 8.10am until 8.40am. Children are expected to arrive no later than 8.30am.
As a school we promote healthy eating and therefore offer a range of nutritious breakfast foods such as:
Here at Parkside Community Primary School we believe that a good, nourishing breakfast is a fundamental right. Unlike many other schools we offer our Breakfast Club free of charge for all our children.
There is no need to book a space but parents and carers are expected to escort their children to the main entrance at the School Office so that safeguarding procedures are met and children can be registered.
All After-School Clubs are free for pupils and run from 15:00 to 16:00.
Please ensure children are collected from the main entrance at the School Office.
If you would like you child to attend an after-school club please contact the School Office for availability.
Football Club & Dodgeball Club
Both of these sports-based clubs are run by our PE and Sports Specialist Mr Groombridge. We are hoping to eventually be able to form sports teams at the school to take part in competitions and events and Football Club is a great opportunity for pupils to learn the basics of the sport and hone in on techniques and improve their skills. Dodgeball Club is for any Year R - Year 2 pupils who would like to have fun and learn a new sport!
We are continuing this very popular after-school club this term for children who would like to learn a variety of new hairstyles. All year groups are welcome but we require written consent from parents/carers in order for children to attend.
We have introduced a new Dance Club this term which has already become immensely popular! Year 3 - Year 6 pupils are able to attend and will be learning dance routines to Justin Timberlake's 'Can't stop the feeling' and Ariana Grande's 'Side to Side'. Later on in the term once pupils have perfected their dance moves they will be choreographing their own routine to S Club 7's 'Reach for the stars' to link with the school's REACH values.
