"Parkside - Community at our heart"

At Parkside Community Foundation Primary School, the pupils, parents, staff, governors and friends of the school are committed to providing a happy, ambitious and stimulating learning environment. We are all very proud of the school community for how far we have come on our journey.

At Parkside we celebrate diversity and respect our community. All learners are nurtured to achieve their full potential and develop a love and enthusiasm for lifelong learning. Our most recent Ofsted inspection (April 2023) judged the school as 'GOOD'. During the visit, it was noted:

"Leaders have worked tirelessly to create a safe and inspiring haven for all pupils so that they can 'REACH' high, through the school values of 'resilience, effort, aspiration, courtesy and honesty'. Pupils love coming to this culturally diverse school. They feel secure and valued because staff understand their individual needs. Many pupils recently joined the school from abroad, and staff and pupils alike make them feel welcome. As one parent put it, 'All the staff go that extra mile for all the children – always."

We offer well supported classes, set within a caring and nurturing environment. All of our pupils can attend the free Breakfast Club if they wish, which provides a nutritious start to the day. We also offer free after school activities, free school trips and visits for all children and a free uniform starter pack available to all children new to the school.

The school site is truly exceptional and allows for a huge range of opportunities for our children. We have a large school field, a range of play areas and an adjoining woodland area. In the last three years, we have added a Forest School site, a multi-use games area and an interactive new play area for our children to use.

Prospective parents are warmly invited to look around our school - we think you will be very impressed. Please call the school office (01227) 464956 to arrange an appointment.
